Annual Los Angeles Marathon
|
On
March 4th, the LA Marathon run begins
at Universal
Studios and
ends near Central Library.
Join over a million spectators as they cheer
on participants in the seventh largest marathon
in the world. Race day also includes the Acura
L.A. Bike Tour
and
the Emerald
Nuts
5K
Run/Walk.
Prior
to Sunday’s race, explore the Emerald
Nuts Quality of Life Expo at the LA
Convention Center.
Go Metro to the Marathon on the Metro Red Line to Universal City or Pershing Square!

Star
Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination
|
Readying LA for May's Star Wars, Celebration IV, this California Science
Center event running until April
combines over 80 costumes,
props and models
from
the Star Wars films with real-world
technologies and video interviews with
filmmakers, scientists and engineers. Visitors
can build and test robots,
explore
prototypes, learn about the engineers and
designers,
and discover intriguing similarities between
how scientists and filmmakers think!

Giveaway: The Women of Lockerbie

A
mother roams the
hills of Lockerbie, Scotland, looking
for her son’s remains which
were lost in the crash of Pan Am
103. She meets the Women of Lockerbie,
who are fighting to obtain the
clothing of the victims and convert
an act of hate into an act of love
by washing the clothes and returning
them to the victims’ families.
Inspired by a true story, The Women
of Lockerbie is a haunting, powerful
and unforgettable work of theatre.
Tickets
are valid for March 4th at 2:00pm.
