Urban Garden Talk and Tours |
Head out to Downtown LA's Music Center on your lunch hour! There are quarterly, noon-hour talks and tours in the Music Center’s Walt Disney Concert Hall garden. The second talk in this series will be on September 13th with guest speaker Betsy Clebsch, author of The New Book of Salvias. Tours are sponsored and presented by Estate Gardens by ValleyCrest.

The Arab Street:
Hip Hop-Funk-Rock For Peace |
On September 23rd, the Levantine Cultural Center presents live at Fais Do-Do, Omar Offendum (the N.O.M.A.D.S.), Ragtop & Cookie Jar (the Philistines), Excentrik, and live band the Legitimates, with special guests New West with DJ Cole Miinor. Arab American rappers are a growing phenom with plenty to say about U.S. politics and the need for peace in the Middle East. Here they join forces with the funk-rock band New West, backed by the dynamic Legitimates and the infamous DJ Cole Minor.
