On October 31st at the Ukranian Cultural Center, check out this live music concert benefiting Silver Lake Film Festival. The night's events include screenings of indie horror films. Music events feature leading alt rock bands Gravy Train, Mika Miko and The Red Hearts with emcee Johnny Angel of Air America! All taking place at a fabulously creepy 1920s-era (and no doubt, haunted) former movie palace!

Giveaway: Fauré Requiem |

At St. Francis Sales Church in Sherman Oaks on November 4th, the St. Francis de Sales Choir and the Wagner Ensemble, under the direction of Jeannine Wagner, will perform their Second Annual All Souls’ Day Concert featuring the Fauré Requiem with orchestra. The musical program will also include Cantique de Jean Racine by Fauré and Pavane for a Dead Princess by Maurice Ravel.

6th Annual Dia de los Muertos Festival

This annual street festival is a traditional and cultural event produced by Main Street Canoga Park. Activities include live music outside and inside entertainment. The family festival has art and craft vendors, international foods, calaveras, artists’ exhibits, altar displays, a children’s art pavillion, classic car show and a Chalk Festival mural competition.
