Need to head out to see the parade, enjoy the bowl game, or see the floats at this year's 118th Tournament of Roses?

Go Metro on the Metro Gold Line!

  • Memorial Park, Del Mar, Lake and Allen stations are all convenient to the parade route.
  • Shuttle service is available for the bowl game from Memorial Park Station (after a short walk to Parsons parking lot).
  • After the parade, take the Metro Gold Line to Sierra Madre Villa Station to view the Rose Parade floats. A shuttle will run every 5-10 minutes to the display.

ExperienceLA blog Special Holiday Free Fares on the Metro

Metro will offer a special Holiday Free Fare Program for all Metro Bus and Metro Rail lines operating on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

The free fare program will be in effect between the hours of 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. only on the nights and early morning hours of December 24-25 and December 31-January 1.

Patrons boarding a Metro Bus, including the Metro Orange Line, or the Metro Red, Blue, Green or Gold rail lines during the hours designated will receive a free ride to their destination. The free rides are being offered during this period to promote safety during the holiday season. Metro is an option for people attending holiday parties so they don’t have to drive.

Holiday MADness Experience Holiday MADness

Free Admission and 20% off at 20 Southern California Institutions on Select Dates November 24-December 9, 2006!

In the spirit of the holidays some of the Southland's finest cultural institutions have joined together to create an event for those who support their institutions by being members. Holiday MADness (Member Appreciation Days) allows card-carrying members of various Los Angeles institutions to enjoy free admission (excluding special ticketed events) and a 20%* discount in the stores. Bring your membership card to any of the participating museums and shops on their designated days to receive this great offer. Your membership card must be from one of these participating organizations for the offer to be honored.

Nights on the Town "Nights on the Town" - Dining in Historic Downtown LA

Whether you’re looking for a new dinner experience or need a bite before and after Last Remaining Seats, check out "Nights on the Town"! From Wednesdays, May 31st to July 5th, come and dine in Historic Downtown—LA’s new hub for nightlife. Dinner specials are offered on the six Wednesday nights listed above by participating restaurants and cocktail lounges (refer to list of venues and menu specials). All dining specials offered from 5 pm to restaurant closing time. Coffee and cocktail specials offered during indicated happy hour. Stomp Go Metro to Stomp

Go Metro to the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood to see “Stomp,” the international percussion sensation that combines movement, music and everyday objects to create a rhythmic performing arts experience. During its two-week run, May 9 through 21, Metro riders can get $30 off selected Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday evening performances and save money on gas and parking by leaving the car at home.
